How can I get medical experience while being a full time college student?

I’m currently a freshman. After I’m done getting my four year degree, I want to go to medical school to study pathology. I know you have to have some experience or show some interest in the medical field before you apply to medical school. How can I gain experience while being a full time college student? Are there any work/volunteer programs that are associated with pathology or a similar field? If so, could you give the names of these programs and organizations? I deeply appreciate your help.

apply to be an intern at NIH-National Institute of Health.
That would be a big deal!

My brother did this and got into veterinary school.(harder than med school).
