Cesarean Birth (C-section) Delivery & Birth

For more information on pregnancy and parenting, please visit http://www.nucleusinc.com/perlyt

This 3D medical animation shows the common indications for a cesarean delivery, including dystocia, placenta previa, fetal distress and multiple births. A cesarean section (c-section) surgery to deliver a baby in frank breech (feet first) position is also shown. During the procedure, the surgeon (usually an obstetrician/gynecologist, i.e. ob/gyn) makes an incision in the abdominal wall and uterus in order to deliver the baby. The animation also includes information on what to expect before and after the surgery. See more 3D medical animations from Nucleus Medical Art at http://www.nucleusinc.com/youtube ANCE00177

    I had C-Section …
I had C-Section because my baby was facing up toward my pubic bone instead of my butt and I wouldn’t of had it any other way. You recover so much faster from a C-Section and I was up and walking around the next day.

  5. As far as I know, …
As far as I know, it’s usually plan B when an attempt at a vaginal delivery doesn’t go as planned, or there is a risk to the mother or baby, like a breach position or multiples (like the video shows). All the women I know who have had c-sections intended to deliver vaginally, but it didn’t go as planned. As far as elective c-sections go, I really don’t know why or how people go about it.

  6. Many women (like …
Many women (like myself) want to have a vaginal birth, but things don’t go as expected. My labor actually stopped and my son’s heart rate was dropping, so we had to go to plan B. It was disappointing, but it had to happen. Most women don’t choose a c-section if they don’t have to.

  7. These videos are …
    These videos are amazing.

  8. No. the Placenta …
No. the Placenta develops for every consecutive conception. The UTERUS is what holds the concieved embryo, so that remains.

  9. because if the baby …
because if the baby is born and the placenta was not removed it will cause body poisoning and might lead to mother’s death so they must remove it.. another placenta will be formed when she is pregnant again

  10. vaginal child birth …
vaginal child birth is best……….no doubt

  11. @Onyeatv A placenta …
@Onyeatv A placenta forms during fetal development. After an egg is fertilized it starts to divide. The outer layer of cells becomes the fetal side of the placenta, the inner mass grows into the baby (or babies, sometimes identical twins share a placenta). Each pregnancy has its own placenta. Keeping any of it inside can be dangerous.

  12. thats great but it …
thats great but it is also uyr opinion just as the option to have a c-section ao a vaginial birth should be the chouce of the person havin the child not u or me unless it is a doc

  13. cuz it is a one …

    i agree

  15. but why does the …
but why does the doctor take the plecenta out after don’t u need if u wanna have more kids??

  16. It doesn’t matter …
It doesn’t matter how a child is born, as long as it is born safe and the mother is also taken care of.

A mother will go through what she has to to save her child. So no one way is better than the other.

I say well done any woman who does what she has to in order to deliver her baby safely into this world!

  17. @ThePrincessellie …
@ThePrincessellie That’s a rediculous comment! A C-section is a major operation which you have to recover from WHILE taking care of a newborn baby.

Leave the C-sections for women like me who really need them to save themselves and their child.

  18. recovery for normal …
recovery for normal birth is faster and easier. the pain of C-section comes in the recovery.

  19. C-sections should …
C-sections should only be done when necessary, not because you think it will hurt less or to prevent from being “stretched out”. Vaginal birth does not hurt as much as you think it does. If you are afraid of the birthing process, you should not of gotten prego in the first place. Also stretch marks are NOT caused by vaginal birth, they’re caused by your stomach stretching. Birth is a beautiful event, petty little concerns, like pain, and stretch marks, should be put aside.

  20. These animated ones …
These animated ones give you a better view on what’s going on than the real ones imo.

  21. These vids are …
These vids are amazing and so educational. My friend said her C-section meant the baby came out all clean. I adopted my child so never had to go through birth of any kind.

  22. how do u get a c …
how do u get a c section? I mean I dont want to…no one does. But how does one get it anyway?

  23. no they dont puch …
no they dont puch ur stomch! Who on earth is stupid enough to do that?! I thought so too cuz I saw it on tv. But if u do that your pushing the baby and suffocating it. When my mom gave birth they told her to push for ten secs, rest then again and again.

  24. hmmm doesn’t it …
hmmm doesn’t it hurt to get your umbelical( sry if I spelled it wrong) cord cut?
