What are the best Medical Schools in the US?

I’ve decided I want to go to Medical School and I know that I have a serious chance as far as important scores and GPA. I really want to go to a highly reputable, respectable and well-known medical school. Of course Harvard is an obvious answer, along with some of the other Ivies, and I’m looking into those, but what are some of the others? I live in Washington State (I know UW is great) and I’m willing to moved to any state I have to. So what are the BEST medical schools in the US?

In my opinion, Johns Hopkins is one of the best. I know many graduates from there and they are excellent physicians. I am also impartial to Tulane because I work for the med school but honestly you can’t go wrong with an Ivy league school if you have the GPA, MCAT score, and pre req classes. Good Luck

  1. I go to University of Utah which is GREAT for medical students as there are plenty of places to get experience. The school has an excellent hospital and is also right across from the regional VA medical center which the school also works with to get added experience. I’d say go to a school that will benefit you academically AND financially. There’s no point to putting hundreds of thousands of dollars into graduate school only to spend 30 years paying your student loans (if that’s the route you go).

  2. IN the US, there really are no bad med schools–all are very tightly regulated. It is your residency where you get your specialty training; so all med students come out of med school well prepared for residency.
