Wow, well if you are a California resident, it is pretty inexpensive compared to other colleges. University of California (all 3--Los Angeles, San Diego, AND San Fransisco!) costs a little under 19,000. U of C Davis costs 35,065 for both resident and nonresident. U of C Irvine costs 22,821. Less than 19 is great. I would be pretty happy if I were you. 19 is a deal compared to other medical schools. I agree with the above comment. When it comes to cost, don't worry about it. However, if cost is a priority, keep the 3 mentioned above as your top priorities. Financial aid is liberal in medical school.
References :
they're all expensive, I am in medical school and I have one word of advice: get loans and don't stress about it. My parents are both doctors and they each had about 500,000$ debt EACH. This is most people, they worked hard and lived cheaply for a few years and were able to pay it off pretty quickly. It is all worth it and now they are bankin and luckily they can pay for my med school. But most people are in the same boat as you just get them loans and don't look back! Good luck..it is a long hard journey and I believe that unless someome is truly called to be a doctor then they won't make it. Best of luck!
