Your favorite movies are “anything Disney” and you repair shoes for a living. This young man in the video is furthering his education by going to medical school. Not once did he say he attended Harvard, but it was an ignorant like you, to assume that he did and with that, to also assume that he is driven by ego.

This person is driven by ego. The ego he puts on display here; “look at me I go to Harvard!” and the ego of his parents who see it as a reflection of their parenting skills that he attends an ivy league school. Chinese are enamored by brands. They are the conformist non original thinkers that are from a conformist culture. Confusian thought is authoritarian. Chinese culture is a failure. why are they here? 1/2 of all the world’s suicides take place in China. They are as a hive of ants.

Allstock-that’s great that you are top-ranked in your class. Congrats; however, it makes me a bit sad to hear that you spend so much time studying. As a medical student, I know how important it is to have a balance between academics and a social life. I definitely don’t think it’s necessary to study that much and succeed. I probably study 2-4 hours a day (much more of course in the days directly preceding an exam). So to you pre-meds out there-don’t get discouraged-it’s manageable!
