What is your toal years of nursing experience? If you transfer to UCLA, I think you will make more than $35. If you go to UCSF, you will make m ore money. UCSF nurses are the highest pain RNs in the nation. Good luck!

hello i am a registered nurse in the state of nj with exp in er/icu, i am earning at least $35 per hr and im actually thinking of moving to california either LA or SF & ucla happened to be my first option as of this point, my question is should i continue my plan of working for ucla medical center are there hospitals in los angeles that pays me the same rate or maybe a hospital in sf? thanks i would appreciate ur help.

You guys probably make 20x more than what I make. I’m experienced in ER/ICU/OR/Dialysis and still make only $1.50 an hour in Turkey. You guys are lucky. If I had any chance, I’d work internationally.

We also experience the same problem here in the philippines. Here the Charge nurse is multi tasking with no assistants, you earned 8$ an hour, here we earn $5 a day. still your lucky but U.S. is different from Phil. but if I had the chance by all means I will work in US.

This is happening in all arena of healthcare. Same story everywhere I go. I work in healthcare and we are doing the “rotations” thing also…it already is showing it faults.

i have 5 yrs exp so far going on 6. why do u say ucsf pays more then ucla? i want to work for a hospital also that takes regular nurses and help them promote to administration field such as manager, director, vp, ceo etc. i want to be more on the corporate side than in the hospital. thanks for ur advice.
