Is the Florida State University Medical School hard?
Wednesday, March 10th, 2010I am about to become a freshmen in college and would like to become a General Practitioner. I would like to know do these types of doctors get paid well and what types of facilities do they work in? I would also like to know is it a lot of hard work and if their is any other information that anyone wants to add that is helpful I would be glad.
Thank You
ANY medical school is hard, first of all. If you don’t want to work hard, you should definitely reconsider wanting to become a doctor.
General practitioners can work in hospitals, in private practices, or in clinics. Most doctors get paid pretty well, GPs don’t get paid as much as surgeons (but they’re insurance isn’t as high, either).
To be a GP you’ll have 4 years of undergrad (graduating with your Bachelor’s in whatever area you’d like), 4 years of medical school, and then 3 years of residency.
In August 2009 over three weeks students from the University of Leicester Medical School participated in a CALF project training on how to collaborate to prepare future scenarios, assess their plausibility, construct arguments about the future and present their ideas creatively. This is the final project of one of the students, in which she presents a possible future for the University of Leicester Medical School
Even in a Pass/Fail curriculum, med students still find a way to compete.
Ross University is a foreign medical school located in the Caribbean islands, but its intense curriculum is designed to make sure its students are on the same playing field when they make their clinical rotations in the U.S.. I hope you guys visit my journal to catch up on my antics!
My commencement address to the Stanford University School of Medicine Graduating Class of 2008! Congrats everyone!
